Toward the end of the game I can have four out of six points covered and hit the software's singe puck and it will roll out with only two out of a six chance to do so on the first roll. Reverse this were the software has four points covered in its home square and I roll six or seven times before I can get out, if I get out at all. None of this happens to me when I play with real people on real board. On a real board the dice roll is random, with Free Backgammon software it controls the roll of the dice and rolls what it needs, it only pretends to roll random by allowing me to win two out of ten games. Having free access to the game enables many people to join and platogethe. I think it is great! I love the game and enjoy many hours playing.. am actually addicted to the game and being free there is no time limit. Does not cheat like lots of programs.. Obvious favoring is done and even cheating when it wants you to lose. One example, I had two checkers in the first point when it was bearing off, it rolled a 3 and a 1. Can't complain because it's free but when it runs a game like that it's very frustrating! If you can deal with that, it's a smooth game. This game is amazingly unrealistic. If you want to be amused on how the computer gets doubles and exactly what it needs while you constantly get 2's and 1's and get sent to the bar, it's hilarious! The only time you get doubles is when you can't use them. It's too bad because I like how it's set up but who wants to play to constantly lose! It's unreal how the computer never seems to fail in rolling the dice and getting exactly what is needed to bump your pieces of the board. However, when it's the opponent's piece that has been bumped off, they do not wait for several turns on the bar to get back into play.
